Weapons is not on the level of movies like Terrified, The Dark and the Wicked or Host, but it's pretty damn scary. The movie begins with a child narrating that a bunch of kids in one single class all went missing at 2:17 AM. They weren't kidnapped; they all just got out of bed, walked out the door, and Naruto ran down the street.

A trio of KPop stars in the group HUNTR/X are more than what they appear. They're actually a part of an ancient line of warriors that fight demons. On top of their magical weapons, they have a magic voice that helps them in their fight to seal off their city from the encroaching demons.

We meet a grieving mother who is not taking the loss of her husband very well. You don't know how he died at first, but she's hobbled in crutches throughout the movie, so you can guess pretty easily that it was a car crash. She's doing her best to put on a brave face for her two kids, but it's eating away at her.

Ice Cube works for the DHS, and they're tracking this hacker who is threatening to expose what he calls the "Goliath Program," which is a new way for the government to completely spy on everybody; think Big Brother (the book, not the show. You know what's weird about Lovecraftian movies? Well, outside of the obvious? Two movies specifically reference two creatures in the title, but they're based on the story "Shadow Over Innsmouth." There's Dagon and today's movie Cthulhu. If I may reference Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz, "If I had a nickel for every time that happened, I'd have two nickels. It's not a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice."
