Hello everyone! During October, it was suggested I list the movies I’ve done and rank them. I thought it was a good idea, but thought it would take way too much time (the last point I was absolutely right on). But it kind of gnawed at me to the point where I thought, ‘screw it!’ so catalog it I did! Another reason I did this, one of the most persistent criticisms I get from a certain couple is that I rate movies too high. I don’t think I do, but I was curious if there was anything to it.
Before I get into this, here are the ground rules I set for myself. I wouldn’t change any rankings, I stuck to what I wrote even if I didn’t agree anymore, except for one movie. I couldn’t in good conscience not give The Thing a 10 rating, that movie rules.
I’m breaking it down into total average, year by year average, movies by ranking, and finally, movies by date. Also, in the movie rankings, they’re in there by order I reviewed them. It would be too hard to rank my 5’s and lower by how much I liked them because many of them are forgettable and I had to read my reviews to remember what a lot of them were about. Case in point, in the “10’s”, I don’t believe Carriers is the 4th best movie I’ve watched in October, but instead it was the 4th 10 I came across, hence its position Still with me?
